Ivory reminds me to take time. Often, these days, she's very content to crawl around and look at everything on her level. It is sometimes a little bit startling to realize what all is on the floor. If it is there, she will find it. And when she's fed and awake, she likes to be moving around on her own. But there are other times where she wants to be played with. And so we stack towers of blocks, and play pattycakes, and do it again. But as soon as I stand up to go do something else - she's after me as fast as she can go, either with her voice or with her legs, and all she wants is a few minutes of my time... just to sit on the rug. She brings much joy to our lives, and is acquiring new skills at rapid rate. She's taken a few tumbles and gotten herself into a few tight places, but she knows what she wants and is learning to do what it takes to get there. Some favorites of hers these days are the laundry baskets, her taggies blankie, standing up in her crib, and anything and everything that she's not supposed to have. Some strong dislikes are the vacuum cleaner and the food processor - so it was a bit unfortunate that I decided to make baby food and sweep the floor all in one afternoon. I've taken quite a few pictures the past few days, so I put those below.
Also in the pictures, you'll see Caleb, who we babysat for a little while the other night, and Andres, who was walking by on the street with his dad and mom and decided to join in the fun for a little bit.
Have a wonderful Friday!
