grant's desk

Grant's latest woodshop project is a desk for himself. We were going to buy one, if you remember, but they were all so overpriced and poorly made and plastic/particle board is just not my style. :( So because he's had some extra time, he made a desk. It turned out great, and he is thoroughly enjoying having his own space.

The desk - he also made a little stand for the printer, because he didn't want that on his desk.
The drawer pulls were bright gold with a wooden-looking cylindrical thing - not really my style. So we spray-painted and wrapped twine (a Pinterest idea, although Grant might not let me post that he does, occasionally, find some good ideas there) and we like how they turned out. They really fit the style of the desk.
He does have a project and a potential project (as in, work for other people), which is a good thing since we pretty much have all the furniture we need now! We are hoping and praying that he can get a little woodshop up and running again - we shall see. Life is bound to get busier, because right now, it's just... not. Which is not a bad thing - just still trying to find our niche here and figure out how to best be small-church support, since that is basically what we are. You can pray for us!
