We are still in Laredo, Texas waiting on the Mexican government to process our importation papers. It was supposed to be done by the time we got here or at the latest today...
We are praying that tomorrow we will obtain the papers and be good to go.
Our overall day was fairly uneventful. We had been hoping to have more events, namely getting papers to import the Jimmy. We had to settle for a day of sleeping, eating, swimming, sleeping, then eating some more.
Although we are in the states, the culture of Laredo, Texas is different than Central Illinois. Laredo is home to many amazing bi-lingual Hispanics, great Mexican food, and really, really slow check-out clerks. Our motel is right next to a shopping mall, so we went over to Sears and Taylor picked out four shirts and got in line. By the time he had bought the shirts Grant and I had solved the Gaza-Israeli conflict and figured out predestination. Later, we had a similar experience at Walmart, but at Walmart we were able to be a little more patient possibly because we were anticipating the mandarin oranges we were buying…a welcome change from high-calorie restaurant food.
Please pray for importation success tomorrow!
