by the numbers

10 - the approximate number of problems we have had with our phones this summer.
9 - the number of fingers Grant didn't hurt while working this summer.
8 - the number of different places we're hauling stuff to/dropping stuff off at in the next few weeks. Thanks to everyone who has let us borrow stuff, and everyone who is using/storing our stuff that we can't take with us!
7 - the number of vehicles we have used this summer that belong to other people.
6 - the number of hours Titus has been sleeping at night! Also, the number of loads of laundry I've done in the last 24 hours (I think?)
5 - the number of checked bags we'll be hauling to the (Peoria!) airport with us on Wednesday. Never sure how we end up with so many?!
4 - the number of people in our family after this summer. :)
3 - the number of days until we say good-bye to our little house on Duncan Road, which has been the perfect place to live this summer. Also, the number of mice (that we had evidence of) in our house this summer. Also, the number of times I've had the hiccups today.
2 - the number of wonderful people who babysat Ivory this week so that I could get work done! (Many thanks, A. Ruth and Hannah M. And my mom is coming tomorrow, so that will be a huge help as well).
1 - the number of vehicles we (I) hit a deer with this summer. :(

And to finish up... a few photos of recent adventures:

Titus got his first bath on Sunday morning... big sister was close by to help out. It's so fun to watch her become buddies with him. Twice today she walked in the door from being somewhere else, told me "hi", and then immediately asked for "Titus?"

On Monday we went to the Caterpillar Visitor's Center with Janelle and Grey and Brooks - the perfect place to take toddlers and little kids on a very very hot day.

We ate lunch by the riverfront afterwards... as you might guess from this photo, Ivory was not exactly at her best by that point. But she did make it through Target afterwards as well... Mom did too, with the help of a little Starbucks.
Somebody figured out how to smile...
