living water

"But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye might believe."
John 19:34-35

As I write, a storm is rolling in; if rain follows the thunder it will be the first of the season and much-welcomed. And it would be so fitting. We've prayed for water - physical water - and it has been provided. More importantly, we've prayed for living water, spiritual water, to fill dry and thirsty hearts. And that, has been provided in abundance. The praise-filled sanctuary this morning was evidence of that - people's hearts have so clearly been touched. Nearly every bench in Ixtlan church was full, and people were singing at the top of their lungs, praising God for the resurrection of His Son! It has been such a privilege to be a part of this Spirit-filled weekend.

"Low in the grave He lay, Jesus, my Savior,

Waiting the coming day, Jesus, my Lord!

Vainly they watch His bed, Jesus, my Savior;

Vainly they seal the dead, Jesus, my Lord!

Death cannot keep his Prey, Jesus, my Savior;
