But you were really curious about the water situation here, right? Grant has been working so hard to try and make it so that we have hot and cold water when the city water is on and when it's not. He's been having to make a lot of trips to the roof (so many, in fact, that the other day, Marshall asked to "borrow" the ladder - it's Marshall's to begin with) to turn the water to the appropriate setting, etc, etc. And we didn't have good pressure. So he raised the tinaco and did a lot of re-plumbing... and today, the tinaco was overflowing. Any plumbers out there? We sure could use you here! Note from Grant: This situation may or may not be in the dire straights that Hannah has worded here. In fact, one check-valve purchase from Home Depot tomorrow, a quick (probably less than 5-minute) installation, and we'll be in great shape. Just to put it into perspective a little bit, we are at a point on our house after one month that we were at after one year in the Guest House. Another testimony of upward progress is that Tito, the water and sewage department guy, is becoming more-or-less just a good acquaintance rather than a co-worker.
| In this picture, the tinaco is not yet on the stand, just to clarify. :) |
Here are a few faces of Ivory today:
If you think of it, could you say a little extra prayer for us tonight? Nothing big, just feeling a little... in need of prayer.
