Unfortunately, it appears that Satan is attempting to hinder our fellowship. We have two brothers from Ixtlan stuck in a highway blockade near Acapulco. They drove our 15-passenger van down to bring the believers from Barra Vieja. I (Grant) am unsure of all the details about what's going on, but it sounds like the Mexican Federal authorities have arrested someone who is a huge mango and coconut farmer and employs 2000 people. His employees have decided to block the highway until authorities will let him go.
Here's a picture I found online:
Then, we found out that there is another blockade by a group of Mexican Indians who are demanding more rights and benefits. This blockade is on the road that the Tecate and San Jose group will be bringing. This has been an ongoing blockade for the last three weeks and doesn't seem like it will stop them from coming, but may delay them.
Please pray that God would provide a way for all those who want to come to be able to arrive in Ixtlan safely tomorrow night. Especially be praying for our two brothers who will be spending tonight in the van. And also, please pray that the fellowship week-end will be a glory to God and a blessing for all.
