Our front door now has a screen door on it! This is so nice, for several reasons. It protects against all the bugs, as mosquito season is suddenly upon us, and it keeps Ivory in the house. The metal worker who made it came and installed it today, and he did a great job.
The bedroom is painted! Keith & Ruth painted it for us while they were here. Not sure if you can tell in this picture but its kind of a green color. It matches a color in the quilt. Keith also painted the beams on the ceiling and cleaned up the window and touched up paint on that.
The bathroom is also painted - just a little darker shade of green. We really appreciate all of Keith & Ruth's work.
And the laundry room/pantry has some shelves, thanks to Blake and Grant! They are so handy, and it somehow makes the whole house seem more organized. Blake had the great idea to leave the bottom shelves big enough to put laundry baskets underneath. And we now have enough paint around here that we created the color by mixing a couple together.
I finally got curtains made for the kitchen window. It gets very bright afternoon sun, and so its nice to be able to close those every once in a while. Grant made the curtain rod, and did an impressive job matching it to the other curtain rods we have. Although, he would probably tell you "not to look too close". Which is what he always says.
We appreciate all the help we've had to get this stuff done! Things are coming together.
It all looks fantastic!
