safe arrival | mahomet, il

Sorry for the delay on updating the blog. We safely arrived in Mahomet at 11:00 p.m. on Wednesday night. We had originally planned to spend one more night on the road and arrive sometime on Thursday, but we made really good time and got in early. Thanks for your prayers for a safe and smooth trip. They were answered.

I told Hannah that we need to make sure we have a least one of our children with us if we road trip through Mexico again in the future, because when we have a child with us, people worry... and when people worry, people pray... and when people pray, we have really smooth trips :)

Really, not a whole lot to report on Wednesday travels. We took a different route this time, which took us through Little Rock, Arkansas and just to the west of Memphis, Tennessee, which was neat to see some areas we had never driven through before.

Our left front tire started making some noise towards the end of the trip, but it got us home. Yesterday, I took it into Champaign and got the wheel bearing replaced. We sure were thankful to be able to get it taken care of in Champaign instead of having to sit at a mechanical shop somewhere in Arkansas. We really enjoyed the trip.

So now, we are enjoying a few days in Mahomet. Hannah and I left the kids last night and went with Seth to ISU Bible study. It's hard to believe that it's been four years already since we were regular attendees. It was also good to see my brother Scott and Hannah's sister Leah and see where they are at and get to know their friends.

Today, Hannah went into town with her mom, then we plan to spend some time with Brent and Janelle this afternoon and evening.

Thanks again for remembering us while we traveled.
