We've set aside Friday and/or Saturday nights to work on our application, and so that is what we did this past Friday night. After supper we both sat down with French Vanilla Cappucinos and Pandora playing John Schmidt in the background, and worked on our application. We really enjoyed the time together! The application for the Mission Committee is pretty intense, and working through it has drawn us closer together and helped us to take a good hard look at what we believe and why. It also has some questions that provoke a lot of reflection on our conversions and on our life together.
Also, within the past week Grant talked to Keith and Wayne (his employers and uncles) about our intention to apply and the possibility of us leaving next summer. Their responses were very encouraging to us! They were both very supportive of us doing what we feel led to do, and we were so thankful for that. God continues to provide!
"o give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. sing unto him […] talk ye of all his wondrous works. glory ye in his holy name. […] seek the Lord, and his strength. […] remember his marvellous works that he hath done [...] he opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. for he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. and he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness." Psalm 105
