So today I (Grant) was driving a van on a dirt road behind a John Deere combine with my windows rolled up to keep out the dust and the air conditioning blowing strong to keep up with the 80 some degrees and the strong sun shining through the windshield...
...while listening to Christmas music.
Life is weird.
"o give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. sing unto him […] talk ye of all his wondrous works. glory ye in his holy name. […] seek the Lord, and his strength. […] remember his marvellous works that he hath done [...] he opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. for he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. and he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness." Psalm 105
You might wish back the "weirdness" of listening to Christmas music in 80 degree weather once you come back to Illinois and feel how cold it is! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's the most wonderful time. . .of the year! I recommend packing a coat. It is always a fun (by fun I mean not fun) moment when you get off the stuffy plane and start walking down the jet-way, and then you realize. It's. Really. Cold.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you all,
